Anzac Day

ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Day ist ein Australischer Feiertag um den gefallenen Soldaten im 1. und 2 Weltkrieg zu gedenken. Insbesondere bleibt die Schlacht von Gallipolli vielen in Erinnerung.

In Adelaide finden an diesem Tag Paraden statt an denen Jahr fuer Jahr mehr Menschen teilnehmen. Wir haben uns entschieden einen Ausflug zum Botanischen Garten am Mount Lofty zu machen.

Loxton 2006

Magda bei dem 300m Rennen in Loxton. Diese Rennen auf Gras sind ''handicappte" Rennen, bei denen alle Starter unterschiedliche Distanzen laufen. Sehr schnelle Läufer laufen fast die Gesamtdistanz, während langsamere Sprinter ein paar Meter weniger rennen. Somit kann theoretisch jeder Starter gewinnen. Magda hatte in der Woche zuvor 5$ bei einem 1600m Rennen gewonnen.

Magda's birthday - Magda's Geburtstag

Avocado's for birthday.

Up in McLaren Vale for Magda's birthday. A nice day full of Avocado's, yummi lunch and heaps of wine.

Zu Magda's Geburtstag haben wir einen kleinen Ausflug zum McLaren Vale gemacht, eine der vielen Weinanbaugebiete rund um Adelaide. Zuerst ging es nach Hahndorf, einer der ersten deutschen Siedlungen in Australien. In McLaren Vale haben wir Mittag gegessen und schliesslich noch eine kleine Weintour gemacht. Weinproben sind kostenlos und man kann 40EUR Weine ohne Probleme probieren.

Nach dem erfolgreichen 6. Platz über 4x100m haben wir noch Katrina getroffen, die in Kürze bei den Commonwealth Games über 100m starten wird.

The new Vitara - Der neue Vitara

Magda and I with our new little Suzuki Vitara JX 1.6 4WD. It's 15 years old and has done "only" 230000 km. We bought it off a private person for AUS$ 4500, and it drives like new! The pictures are taken in the driveway behind our apartment house.

Magda und ich mit unserem neuen Suzuki Vitara JX 1.6 4WD. Das Auto ist 15 Jahre alt und hat 230000 km auf dem Tacho. Wir haben es privat gekauft für AUS$ 4500, und es fährt sich wie neu! Die Photos sind hinter unserem Apartmenthaus auf dem Parkplatz gemacht.

The pictures show Magda on her trip to Sydney, where she attended a gala of the Cobra Marketing group and enjoyed staying in a 5-star hotel. Magda is now working for the Adelaide-based company "Focus International Marketing", which sells charity programmes to people. The photos show Magda together with Juan, from Colombia, in front of the Opera House and the Sydney tower.
